And we’re… back!
The new year is shaping up to be a cool year for us deviants. 2017 in Devious Theatre sees a new co-production, a touring revival and a new edition of an old favourite for our 11th year of making theatre.
Kicking things off in a nice, relaxed fashion we’ll be hosting a series of readings this Friday evening in Bosco’s Café at The Watergate Theatre to celebrate Nollaig na mBan. Marking another year of amazing creative work by the brilliant women of Kilkenny, we want to invite you to Bosco’s Café to hear some work by local female writers including: Cathy Hogan, Muireann Kavanagh, Susie Lamb, Niamh Moroney, Elinor Mountain, Aoibhín Murphy, Nuala Roche and Ciara Ryan-Gerhardt. The stage will also be open for anyone who would like to read on the night so if you’ve got some writing you’d like to road test or a performative itch to scratch, feel free to do so. Afterwards DJ Geraldine Fahey will spin us an all girl Northern Soul set for those who want to stick around for a wee celebration.
The event runs from 6pm to 7.30pm and entry is free. Happy new year to all y’all and we hope to see you there.
