Out of the frying pan and into the fire but more than ready for it – Cannibal! The Musical saw us undertake our first major production after a highly successful first year as a group. The show was written by Trey Parker (South Park, Team America : World Police) and tells the story of the first person ever tried for Cannibalism in the United States, Alferd Packer. All of this of course wrapped up in trademark South Park humour, with singing, dancing, toe-tapping songs and lots more. Under covers, the show was under development on our side for years and we picked up the rights in 2006 for a 2007 production. The show, an Irish premiere, ran August 22nd to 25th, 2007 in the Watergate Theatre Kilkenny. Continue reading
